AAB Research shares the software and reagents developed in the course of our nanovesicle targeted drug delivery work. Some are free and open source; for the rest, get in touch and we will tell you what we can supply.
Tools & reagents
Each of these came out of a problem we had to solve in our own lab.
Gibson assembly
Seamless, scarless assembly of multiple DNA fragments in a single isothermal reaction. We use it daily alongside the primer design tools above, which generate the overlapping ends the reaction needs.
His-GentleBind
An antibody binder that adds a histidine tag to the antibody it binds, so that antibodies can be captured and purified on standard His-tag affinity resin, using the IMAC workflow already set up in most labs.
Recombinant mouse RNase inhibitor
Protects RNA from degradation by ribonucleases in RNA work such as reverse transcription and in vitro transcription. Produced recombinantly, with no animal-derived material.
Hosted eLabFTW accounts
A managed electronic lab notebook, so your group gets the notebook without running the server: we handle hosting, updates, certificates and backups. Includes an agentic workflow for working with your notebook entries.
Cloning seminars
Hands-on sessions on primer design and assembly cloning, built around the same tools and reagents we use ourselves.
About AAB Research
We are the research tools arm of AAB Therapeutics, a biotech startup developing a nanovesicle targeted drug delivery platform.
Building that platform meant building tools: software to design the constructs we needed, and reagents that worked the way our experiments required. They turned out to be useful beyond our own bench, so we are making them available to other labs.
